Access

Olympia Fields has excellent regional access via road and rail.  I-57 provides a direct link to downtown Chicago, and south to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and points south.  The Village has two commuter stops on the Metra Electric Line, and Pace bus service which runs along Route 30/Lincoln Highway.

Parks

The Village is served by an award-wining Park District offering a wide range of programs and facilities, including Sargeant Means Park which includes a disc golf course and beautifully restored barn that is available for corporate rental. Another great local recreational resource is the Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center, which is idea for corporate retreats and outings. The regional Cook County Forest Preserve system also offers residents with a wide variety of nearby recreational amenities including trails, extensive picnicking and outdoor educational facilities

Schools and Churches

The Village is served by several schools and districts, both public and private, including the Blue Ribbon Award winning Arcadia School.  Information on local schools and churches can be found on the Village’s website.

Fact: Arcadia Elementary School was presented with a $5,000 check as the winner of the Illinois “Game Plan for Success” contest, which recognizes schools that encourage students to work hard and practice their skills by holding them to high expectations, according to a news release. 

Golf

The world class Olympia Fields Country Club is right in the middle of town, featuring two outstanding 18-hole golf courses, tennis courts, a zero-depth swimming pool, and fitness equipment as well as wonderful dining and banquet facilities.  While facilities are private, memberships are available by invitation and the Country Club occasionally will host events that are open to the community.

Olympia Fields is located in the middle of the Chicago Southland, an area offering a wide range of events and activities, ranging from concerts at the nearby Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre to outdoor activities within the regions extensive forest preserve system
